Staritsa
Staritsa was established in 1297 and named Gorodok ( small town). Since the 15th century, the town has been called Staritsa. This beautiful town is situated not far from the city of Tver and is split by its river into two parts. You can find many abandoned limestone Russian style buildings on the one side of the river. On the other bank stands the Assumption abbey, spectacular cathedral from 1530 and ponderous Neoclassical cathedral of Sts. Boris and Gleb from 1560. Besides Staritsa is also famous for its 18th–19th century quarries. The quarries were created by the locals, without any general plan, and sometimes they remind real labyrinths. The actual length of these caves is about 3-5 kilometers. They are rather dry, clean and save.
Moscow
Moscow is two hours drive by car and by train from Tver, as it lies only 90 miles south of it. It’s interesting, that Moscow is considered to be the most expensive city in the world (concerning property prices) and the world's billionaire capital. The capital of Moscow is the country's political, economic, religious, financial, educational and transportation centre. The most popular attractions for tourists are Moscow Kremlin, Red Square, various cathedrals, museums, theaters, 96 park and 18 gardens and the Moscow Zoo. It possesses a complex transport system that includes the world’s busiest metro system, which is famous for its architecture. So, if you plan to go there by car, your driver should know Moscow well to help avoid some problematic situations with guidebooks.

More than two hundred years it was the capital of the Russian Empire, founded by Tsar Peter the Great in 1703 as his “window to the west” and named in his honor. The other city names were Petrograd and Leningrad. In St. Petersburg you can become the witness of the celebrated phenomenon known as the "white nights". Astounding variety of cathedrals, museums, palaces, parks and a network of canals, that is so interesting to explore (the city was build as another Amsterdam and Venice) will amaze you with it’s grandeur and luxurious Tsar palaces and places. It’ll take you about 6-8 hours by train and ….. by car to get to the city.
